Trimming Gracilis

We continued our trimming of gracilis this morning. We’re making good progress on the order and enjoyed working outside right next to the malay dwarf, or Bambusa glaucophylla hedge. The malay dwarf is a great hedge and the only non-invasive (i.e. clumping, not running) bamboo that stays under 15 feet. It provided some welcome shade from the sun, as the weather is starting to warm up a bit more in Kipahulu.

Kona, our local dog, took a break from chasing the cats through the nursery to watch us work.
